Our summer creative writing camp is a two-week program designed for first-generation and/or low-income high school students who are interested in exploring their creativity and developing their writing skills.
To apply for this program, please fill out the form linked in our bio. The application deadline is July 20, and we will only accept 50 students. After reviewing the applications, we will try to select the best ones and we will reach out to everyone on July 25 to inform them of their acceptance into the program.
Our camp will begin on August 1 and run for two weeks. During the program, our experienced instructors will provide guidance and support as participants work on their writing projects, helping them to develop their unique voices and hone their craft.
Through a combination of virtual workshops, writing prompts, group discussions, and one-on-one feedback sessions, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of writing exercises and activities, including poetry, fiction, and non-fiction.
By the end of the camp, participants will have a portfolio of original writing pieces, as well as a deeper understanding of the writing process and the skills needed to continue developing their craft.
We believe that everyone has a story to tell, and we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can explore their creativity and express themselves through writing.
To apply for our summer writing camp, please fill out the registration form on our website. As part of the application process, we ask that you also answer a few essay questions. Don't worry, this isn't meant to be a stressful or daunting task! We just want to get to know you better and learn about your interests and goals as a writer. So take your time, answer the questions to the best of your ability, and good luck with your application!
